This is a beautifully designed vintage moonstone and rhinestone necklace. Every stone, faceted or cabochon, round or marquis, is prong set in a closed back gold tone setting. Every stone is in excellent condition as far as lack of flaws, color, brilliance, lack of repairs. The necklace is approximately 15" long when clasped at its maximum length. small round pink moonstone cabs run the length of the inner strand to which the hook is attached. Below that is a 5 3/8" row of pinkish lavender faceted rhinestones which are connected to each other and to the rows above and below. At the far ends of the rhinestone row, there are 2 marquis shape moonstone cabs mounted vertically and attached to the row above them. On the lowest of the 3 rows, there are 10 marquis shaped pink moonstone cabochons. Each stone measure 9/16" long, and is mounted vertically and attached to the rhinestone row above them. The lower marquis cabs are a darker pink than the small cabs on the inside strand, probably because of their greater size and depth. The necklace has a lot of depth of color, and depending on the lighting and the color against which the necklace rests, it has the ability to go from warm pink tones to cooler pink tones. It's a sweet piece, and in excellent vintage condition. It's width is approx. 5/8" at its widest point (the center 6" section). If you have questions, please contact me.
