Genuine Art Nouveau Necklace 14k Gold Peridot Seed Pearl Pendant
ITEM: A genuine Art Nouveau necklace with pendant. Featuring a lovely, lively peridot gemstone and set with tiny little seed pearls of outstanding sheen and luster, it is executed in 14k yellow gold.
DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT: The pendant measures 1.25" long and 1" wide. The chain - original to it, measures 15" long, add the pendant and it is a total of 16". The gemstone, a peridot is approx. 1.40 carats and the entire piece weighs in at 7.95 grams.
DESCRIPTION: An exquisite Art Nouveau necklace in 14k yellow gold is set with a fantastic peridot gemstone and detailed with lustrous seed pearls. A period piece, it shows all the style and quality one could hope for in an Art Nouveau pendant necklace. Naturalistic, curvelinear forms, high quality stones, a nice karat gold, at 14k, and a wonderful, aged patina which has softened the edges of the gold, refracting as well as reflecting the golden hues. The chain is a simple cable chain with a trombone style clasp. A very pretty pendant necklace with every aspect being genuine, real seed pearls, genuine gemstone peridot and 14k gold. Just a divine piece of jewelry from one of the nicest periods of design in the decorative arts, the Art Nouveau period. Sweet! Marked 14k and a makers mark - either a C or a G inside a star shape or leaf. The chain is also marked the same as the pendant, 14k.
CONDITION: Exquisite. No missing pearls, beautiful cut and faceted gemstone peridot, no cracks, minor fleabite only visible under magnification. Bright, luminous gold, nothing broken - this is a sweet necklace, a period piece in excellent condition. I'd scoop it fast!
